About the artist
I’m Becca Riley, an artist based in Manchester, UK. My work explores the relationship between memory and emotion, and the ways the past and present overlap. I use diluted acrylics and oil paints to build abstract spaces that reflect my inner world.
Over the dreamlike painted backgrounds, I paint figures blending past and present; vulnerable poses paired with thoughtful, uncertain expressions. By blending memory, emotion, and self-reflection, my work addresses themes of femininity, vulnerability, and escapism. I invite viewers, especially women who recognise these feelings, to connect my paintings to their own experiences.
